Friday Night Date - Limited Edition

‘Friday Night Date’ is a particular personal favourite. It was so much fun to paint from start to finish. The unlucky one in the centre who has been stood up on his date is my good friend Matt Layzell who has posed for me many times. Also pictured is myself, Lucia Bifulco, my sister Beth, Laura Wells, Ruby Steel, Laurence Maule and Sam Crook. Most of my works are set in the fifties and it was great getting everyone dressed up for this painting, let alone ‘faking’ their reactions to the film ‘Casablanca’.
